2005 Volvo S60

The '05 S60 is a midlevel luxury sedan that forms a sharp contrast against its V6-driven competitors with its standard inline-5 engine. This is a luxury sedan where comfort and functionality are well balanced for drivers of all kinds.

The 2005 Volvo S60 is available with four kinds of engines – ranging from the 2.5-liter 300hp turbocharger-enabled I-5 engine in the ‘R’ trim level developed for high performance, to the entry-level standard 2.4 model having a 2.4-liter non-turbocharged I-5 delivering 168hp. The 2.5-liter I-5 in the 2.5T model produces 208hp, while the 2.4-liter I-5 in the T5 generates 257hp – turbochargers enabled in both the engines.

The transmission ranges from the five-speed manual and automatic transmissions in the 2.4 model to the six-speed manual and optional automatic five-speed transmission as in the T5. The vehicle is available in rear-wheel and all-wheel drive modes.

With ergonomically enhanced interiors and a suave restyling of the exterior, the 2005 Volvo S60 is geared to be a top competitor in the market of entry-level luxury sedans.
